KAFU Associate Professor Yulia Novitskaya has Won the Bolashak International Scholarship

The competition for the Bolashak International Scholarship and grants under the Research Internship Program, which offers Kazakhstani scientists opportunities for professional development at leading universities and research centers worldwide, has concluded.

The research internship program aims to enhance the qualifications of scientific and technical personnel at leading international higher and postgraduate education institutions, research centers, and industry organizations.

Among the winners of the competition is Yulia V. Novitskaya, Associate Professor at the Kazakh-American Free University and Head of the Foreign Languages ​​Department. According to the competition results (https://bolashak.gov.kz/ru/obladateli-granta), she will undergo a four-month research internship at the Educational Testing Service (ETS).

ETS is the world’s largest nonprofit educational testing organization, based in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. It develops standardized tests and plays a key role in international knowledge assessment. Among ETS’s most well-known developments are the TOEFL, GRE, and TOEIC tests, which are recognized worldwide.

Furthermore, ETS actively collaborates with ministries of education in various countries. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan collaborates with the organization to improve the Unified National Testing (UNT) and train Kazakhstani specialists in pedagogical measurement and testing.
