On September 25–26, 2026, the IV Central Asian Forum of German Language Teachers was held in Almaty at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University.

The theme of the forum was “German Language in Central Asia: Education, Innovation, and Cooperation.”

Representatives of the Kazakhstan-American Free University took part in the forum:

• Serik Merzoyanovich Abilov — Director of the KASU International Department;
• Elena Vitalyevna Shikhotova — Director of the KASU Linguistic Center, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages.

The forum provided a platform for professional communication, experience exchange, and discussion of current trends in German language teaching, the digital transformation of education, artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.

The event was held with the strategic cooperation of DAAD, the Goethe-Institut, ZfA, and the International Federation of Teachers of German (IDV).

For KASU, participation in such international professional events is an opportunity to strengthen academic ties, develop international cooperation, and represent the university on a professional platform.
