KAFU, BEREL ACADEMY and BEREL Volleyball Club Sign Cooperation Memorandum

On September 9, 2026, Kazakhstan-American Free University, the Public Foundation “Professional Volleyball Club ‘BEREL’,” and BEREL ACADEMY LLP signed a memorandum of cooperation in the areas of continuing education, professional development, and training of specialists for the sports industry.

KASU was represented at the signing ceremony by First Vice-President of the University, PhD, Zhasulan Baikenov; Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Asem Nurlanova; and Head of the Department of International Cooperation, Serik Abilov.

The Professional Volleyball Club “BEREL” was represented by Bauyrzhan Kazi, Director of the Public Foundation “Professional Volleyball Club ‘BEREL’.” BEREL ACADEMY was represented by Deputy Director Kanat Toleukhanov and specialist Dmitry Maryukhnich.

The memorandum is aimed at improving the qualifications of coaches, developing the professional competencies of athletes and sports industry specialists, and organizing practice-oriented training for KAFU students.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to jointly organize courses, seminars, training sessions, lectures, master classes, round tables, and practical classes. The activities may be held in person, online, or in a blended format at KAFU, at the club’s sports facilities, and through digital educational platforms.

BEREL ACADEMY will develop educational programs, curricula, teaching materials, and practical assignments, as well as engage instructors, coaches, and experts. KAFU will provide organizational, methodological, and technical support, make the necessary educational resources available, and create opportunities for guest lectures and master classes for students.

The Professional Volleyball Club “BEREL” will participate in identifying the current needs of the sports industry, engaging coaches and athletes, and sharing practical experience and professional case studies with participants.

The cooperation is of particular importance for KAFU students. They will have the opportunity to communicate with coaches and athletes, participate in practical sessions, analyze professional situations, and gain knowledge directly from specialists in the sports sector. Upon completion of the educational programs, participants will receive joint certificates issued by KAFU, the Academy, and the Club.

The signing of the memorandum opens up new opportunities for the development of sports education, the professional growth of students, coaches, and athletes, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists for the modern sports industry.
