KAFU Hosts Another Lecture on Preventing Religious Extremism and Terrorism

On October 9, 2026, the Kazakhstan-American Free University held another information and awareness-raising lecture organized by representatives of the Center for the Study of Religious Issues. The event focused on the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism, as well as fostering young people’s strong rejection of radical ideologies.

During the lecture, participants learned about the key signs of the spread of extremist views, the methods used to involve young people in destructive religious movements, and the risks associated with the distribution of radical content on the internet and social media.

Particular attention was paid to developing critical thinking and information literacy, respecting people with different religious beliefs, and understanding the importance of complying with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Such meetings help improve students’ legal and religious literacy, foster a responsible civic attitude, and strengthen the principles of interfaith harmony and social stability.

The lecture supports the objectives of the «Заң мен тәртіп» (Law and Order) initiative, which aims to strengthen legal awareness, prevent offences, and foster respect for the law among young people.

KAFU continues its systematic efforts to promote the spiritual and moral development of young people, prevent destructive social phenomena, and create a safe educational environment.
