KAFU Hosts Educational and Developmental Event: “The ‘Complete Human Being’ (Tolyk Adam) – The Foundation of National Upbringing”

On October 28, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) hosted an educational and developmental event titled “The ‘Complete Human Being’ (Tolyk Adam) – The Foundation of National Upbringing.” The event involved first-year students enrolled in the “Jurisprudence” and “Law and Law Enforcement” educational programs, who are pursuing their studies following the completion of technical or vocational education.

The objective of the event was to foster greater respect among students for national values, cultivate moral character, and develop legal consciousness and legal culture, drawing upon the “Tolyk Adam” (“Complete Human Being”) concept introduced by Abai Kunanbayev.

During the session, students explored the connection between national upbringing and legal norms, guided by Abai’s principle: “Maintain the unity of reason, will, and heart.”

Through interactive games and the analysis of complex, real-world scenarios, the students examined the core components of a legal norm—the hypothesis, the disposition, and the sanction—while establishing their links to fundamental moral values.

Furthermore, participants exchanged views on concepts such as justice, honesty, conscience, responsibility, and respect for elders, sharing their perspectives on the role that moral principles play in the lives of individuals and society as a whole.

The event underscored the importance of integrating national upbringing with legal culture; it contributed to the students’ spiritual and moral development, refined their legal reasoning, and supported the formation of conscientious, fair, and responsible individuals.
