KAFU Representative Participates in the International Forum on “Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage”

From October 13 to 18, 2026, the International Forum on “Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Heritage” took place in the Republic of Tajikistan, hosted by the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.

The forum served as a large-scale platform for academic, practical, cultural, exhibition, and tourism-related activities, bringing together representatives from government bodies, international organizations, academic and educational institutions, tourism companies, the business community, investors, and experts from various countries. Participants discussed the development of sustainable tourism, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the expansion of international cooperation.

The event coincided with Mehrgon—an ancient festival celebrating the harvest, abundance, creative labor, and gratitude for the gifts of nature. The festival vividly showcases the agricultural traditions, folk crafts, national cuisine, and the culture of hospitality inherent to the Tajik people.

The Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) was represented at the forum by Saveliy Alexandrovich Muzhchil, Head of the KAFU Legal Clinic. Participation in the event provided an opportunity to establish new professional and business contacts with representatives from various nations, exchange experiences, and discuss prospects for future collaboration.

Hosting such international events fosters intercultural dialogue and strengthens academic and business ties, as well as friendship and mutual understanding between nations.

We extend our gratitude to the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, the forum’s organizers and partners, and the people of Tajikistan for the excellent organization, warm welcome, and their contribution to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan!
