Law and Order as the Foundation of Society

On October 13, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University hosted a seminar titled “The Foundation of Society” (Қоғам негізі) for third-year students of the Psychology program (Kazakh-language of instruction) as part of the “Law and Order” (Заң және тәртіп) initiative. The event was organized by A. A. Mamyrbekova, a lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.
Participants discussed the role of law in societal life, the rights and obligations of citizens, the importance of public order, and issues regarding legal culture and the prevention of offenses. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing the legal literacy of young people and fostering a conscious, respectful attitude toward the law.
The practical segment of the seminar incorporated elements of art therapy. Through creative exercises, students expressed their understanding of legality, justice, responsibility, and mutual respect, subsequently discussing the role each individual plays in creating a safe and harmonious society.
During the session, participants also analyzed various real-life scenarios, exchanged views, and articulated their positions. The interactive format allowed for an examination of law and order issues not only from a legal perspective but also through the lens of personal responsibility and everyday conduct.
The seminar helped students gain a deeper understanding of the significance of legality and public order, as well as the role of personal responsibility in shaping a legal culture and a safe social environment.
