On April 16, 2026, a specialized seminar on “Legal Regulation of Labor Relations” was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The event brought together representatives of the legal community of the East Kazakhstan region: attorneys, legal consultants, private bailiffs, as well as faculty and students from leading universities in the region, including the Kazakh-American Free University.

Representing the Kazakh-American Free University, Saveliy A. Muzhchil, Head of the Legal Clinic, and students from the Law programs actively participated in the seminar:

• Nikita Bastanogov (4th year, Law and Customs Activity program);

• Adelina Giterman (1st year, Jurisprudence program);

• Tursynkhan Serikbayev (first-year student, Jurisprudence program).

The seminar addressed current issues in the legal regulation of labor relations, including current trends in the development of labor legislation, its practical application, and mechanisms for protecting labor rights.

KAFU students’ participation in such professional platforms contributes to the development of their practice-oriented competencies, the development of legal thinking, and a deeper understanding of the specifics of law enforcement.

Following the event, students noted a significant expansion of their professional knowledge and increased interest in further studying labor law.
