Literary Discussion: “My Favorite Book”

On October 19, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University hosted a literary discussion titled “My Favorite Book” as part of the “Reading Nation” project. The event involved first-year students from programs conducted in the state language. It was organized by N. A. Moshenskaya, a senior lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.

During the discussion, students shared their reading preferences, spoke about their favorite literary works, and examined the characters, core themes, and the contemporary relevance of the issues addressed. Special emphasis was placed on the role of literature in shaping one’s worldview and moral values, as well as in developing critical thinking skills.

The event helped promote reading, fostered a culture of literary dialogue, and heightened student interest in fiction.
