Master Class on Modern Educational and Teaching Technologies
On September 30, 2026, Kazakhstan-American Free University hosted a master class titled “Modern Educational and Teaching Technologies and the Development of Teachers’ Competencies for Their Effective Application.” The event was held as part of the International Scientific Congress “The Future of Science and Education: International Experience, Innovation and Leadership.”
The speaker was Andrey Alexandrovich Tyorov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Institute of Continuing Education of Moscow City University (Moscow, Russia).
During the master class, participants were divided into small groups for collaborative work and discussion. Each group explored one of the modern teaching technologies: critical thinking development, the flipped classroom, case-based learning, or micro-module learning. Participants discussed the relevance and significance of each technology and identified the educational objectives and specific situations in which each approach could be applied. This format allowed participants not only to gain new knowledge but also to put it into practice.
Particular attention was given to opportunities for participants to express themselves and share their opinions. Group representatives presented the results of their collaborative work to the audience. This helped participants develop their public speaking, teamwork, and professional communication skills.
The master class also provided an opportunity for active networking. Participants of different ages, professional backgrounds, and fields of study communicated with one another, exchanged professional experiences, made new connections, and generated ideas for future cooperation.
The event combined educational and practical components, providing an opportunity not only to explore modern teaching technologies but also to discuss their application in real educational situations. The knowledge and practical experience gained will help participants use modern approaches more effectively in their academic and professional activities.
