Presentation on Online Learning Opportunities via Coursera

A presentation on the opportunities for taking online courses and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on the Coursera platform was held at KAFU. The event was organized for master’s students enrolled in the educational program 7M01701(2) “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” within studying the discipline “Communicative and Cognitive Approach in Foreign Language Teaching” (senior lecturer – Anna A. Oskolkova).

The main aim of the presentation was to explore the potential for broader participation of graduate students in online learning through Coursera, a modern educational platform. During the session, participants were introduced to the platform’s features, a wide range of courses in linguistics, pedagogy, and related fields, as well as opportunities to earn certificates from leading international universities.

Special attention was given to the advantages of MOOCs, including flexibility, access to up-to-date educational resources, and the possibility of personalizing one’s learning path. The discussion also covered ways of integrating online courses into the academic curriculum and enhancing the professional competencies of future foreign language teachers.

The presentation sparked strong interest among the students and marked an important step toward expanding their academic and professional opportunities.
