REGIONAL IT HACKATON “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ” -2024

From March 5 to 6, 2024, the regional IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ”-2024 was held in which students of the Kazakh-American Free University OP “Information Systems” Fedotov Danil and Khasenov Ayan, as well as schools, universities and colleges from different regions took part.

A hackathon is an intellectual event where professionals with diverse expertise and professional experience actively collaborate to jointly shape ideas, solutions and concepts. This event brings together diverse perspectives and skills to solve specific problems or create innovative products in an environment of intense creative collaboration.

The IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENІ”-2024 was held online, where participants were given tasks to complete and instructions from mentors remotely.

In 7 hours, participants were asked to develop an IT solution using machine learning algorithms, artificial intelligence and data analysis for monitoring mental health and preventing suicide among minors with elements of gamification to solve one of the most pressing problems of modern society. During this time, members of the Crystal Castles team: Danil Fedotov and Ayan Khasenov, developed a solution taking into account all the criteria, which ultimately led the team to victory and another first place!
