From July 2 to 5, 2026, the 5th International Legal Forum was held in the Kyrgyz Republic. The forum was dedicated to the topic “Modern Trends and New Challenges in Legal Practice and Legal Education.”
The forum was organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Kyrgyzstan, together with the Legal Aid Service under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kunayev University (Republic of Kazakhstan), and other partners.
The forum brought together lawyers, attorneys, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, and the scientific and expert community from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries. The event’s comprehensive program included plenary and panel discussions, expert sessions, master classes, and practice-oriented platforms dedicated to current issues in the development of legal science, law enforcement practice, and modern legal education. Saveliy A. Muzhchil, Head of the KAFU Legal Clinic and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law and International Relations, participated in the forum.
The participation of a KAFU representative in such a prestigious international forum further confirms the university’s active involvement in developing international academic cooperation, exchanging professional experience, and strengthening partnerships with leading educational and legal organizations abroad.
The Department of Law and International Relations expresses its sincere gratitude to the organizers of the forum for the high level of the event, the warm welcome, and the opportunities created for constructive international cooperation. We are confident that the established professional contacts will form the basis for the implementation of new joint educational and research projects.
