Representatives of the KAFU Legal Clinic Explained the Provisions of the New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Schoolchildren

On September 22, 2026, representatives of the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) Legal Clinic held an informational session for students of the “Istok” private school in Oskemen. The meeting focused on the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was adopted via a national referendum on March 15, 2026.

The speakers included Saveliy A. Muzhchil, Head of the KAFU Legal Clinic, and students from the Department of Law and International Relations: Yerkezhan Aketpayeva, Adelina Giterman, and Danil Maksimenko.

During the session, the students learned about the nature of the Constitution, the role it plays in the life of society and the state, and the new legal provisions incorporated into the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Special emphasis was placed on the significance of constitutional norms and the rights and obligations of citizens.

The meeting helped improve the students’ legal literacy and fostered an understanding of the foundations of the state’s constitutional order.
