Results of the regional Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature-23
Every society needs talented people. It is at school where the foundations for the development of a thinking, independent, creative personality should be laid. Each teacher has come across such students who are not satisfied with a school textbook, they are not interested in working in the classroom, they read dictionaries and encyclopedias, study special literature, and look for answers to their questions in various fields of knowledge.
Among the numerous methods of work focused on the intellectual development of students, a special place is occupied by subject olympiads, including the Russian Language and Literature Olympiad.
On January 17, 2023, the Regional Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature for 11th-graders was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. Educational institutions with Russian and Kazakh language of instruction took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad consisted of two stages – testing in the Russian language and defending a project in literature.
The competition was opened by the host of the Olympiad – Mikhail Bugaev (student of the EP “Journalism”). First Vice-President Zhasulan Baikenov, Advisor to the KAFU Rector, Chairman of the Jury Natalia Nesterenko delivered a welcoming speech. They thanked the participants of the Olympiad and their teachers, emphasizing the importance of holding various events to strengthen educational ties.
According to the results of the Olympiad, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places were awarded, as well as a certificate of participation. The winners also received various discounts for studying at KAFU in the educational programs “Russian Language and Literature” and “Journalism”.
