Round Table on the Topic “Migration Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Practical Aspects of Application in Educational Institutions”

On December 13, 2023, the Round Table was held at the Kazakh-American Free University on the topic “Migration Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Practical Aspects of Application in Educational Institutions” with the participation of employees of the Migration Service Directorate of the East Kazakhstan Police Department and representatives of higher educational institutions and colleges of the city.

The moderator of the Round Table was Associate Professor of the Department of Law and International Relations of KAFU, PhD, Botagoz A. Umitchinova.

During the Round Table, the main problems and difficulties faced by educational institutions in the process of attracting foreign teachers and students to the educational process were discussed, and recommendations were given for educational organizations to ensure compliance with the migration legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the East Kazakhstan Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Rinat K. Shkibaev, the Head of the East Kazakhstan Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Gulmira K. Mankutova answered all the questions of interest from the Round Table participants.
