Roundtable Discussion at Turan-Astana University with KAFU Representatives
On April 14, 2026, a roundtable discussion on “Gender Equality: The Foundation of Sustainable Development” was held at Turan-Astana University, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members.
Representatives of the Kazakh-American Free University actively participated in the event, highlighting the high level of interuniversity collaboration and academic cooperation.
The discussion addressed current issues of ensuring gender equality as a key factor in the sustainable development of modern society. Participants focused on expanding women’s access to quality education and professional development, supporting women’s entrepreneurship, and developing leadership potential.
Saveliy A. Muzhchil, Head of the KAFU Legal Clinic, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the topic in the context of contemporary legal and social transformations. In his speech, he also focused on international legal mechanisms for protecting women’s rights and the role of legal education in their effective implementation. Participation in such events helps strengthen scientific and educational ties, promote academic dialogue, and develop students’ professional competencies.
