Short-term (1 month) Internship or Service Programs

Program Description:  International students can visit KAFU for one month and be involved in an in-depth internship or service opportunity in Ust-Kamenogorsk, while also enjoying being part of the KAFU community.  In most cases, students can receive KAFU university credit for an internship or service opportunity.

Examples of internships include:  teaching children, teaching students/adults, teaching English, coaching sports teams, translation/interpretation, business, and tourism / hotel management.  Many other internship programs can be arranged based on a student’s needs.

Examples of service opportunities include: camp counselors, teaching English in a variety of contexts, working in orphanages, working in specialized clinics/programs for those with diseases, working with the elderly, tutoring special needs children, etc.

Interested students should contact KAFU’s International Department to consider the best internship or service opportunity related to their needs.

The cost of an internship/service program at KAFU depends on the nature of the program.  If the internship or service directly benefits the KAFU community, costs may be reduced.  Usually, at least an application fee of $100 is required.  For most students, a visa is not required for stays up to 1 month in Kazakhstan.
