Visit of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to East Kazakhstan region

On December 9, 2023, the management and faculty members of the Kazakh-American Free University met with Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan during his visit to the East Kazakhstan region.

At the meeting held at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, the Minister of Science and Higher Education highlighted the issues of transformations in the higher education system, training of highly qualified personnel, work to support the student community, and the nuances of training personnel for teaching in the higher education system.

Sayasat Nurbek drew special attention from the audience to the possibility of opening branches of the world’s largest universities in Kazakhstan, as well as the attention of the scientific community to the issues of financing science, stimulating scientific activity and comprehensively improving the quality of higher education in the Republic. During the meeting, the Minister also answered questions of the audience.
