Dialogue Platform “Friendship of Peoples is the Basis of Stability and Prosperity in Kazakhstan” 

On April 10, 2024, a dialogue platform “Friendship of Peoples is the Basis of Stability and Prosperity in Kazakhstan” was organized at the Kazakh-American Free University. The event took place within the framework of the XIV International Forum of Young Scientists, held at KAFU.

Participants in the dialogue platform were representatives of different ethnic groups living in multinational Kazakhstan.

KAFU Vice President for International Programs and Cooperation Daniel Ballast addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech. He thanked all those present for their participation and noted the importance of peaceful and friendly coexistence of representatives of different nationalities.

Deputy of the Maslikhat of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, winner of the “Best Teacher of the CIS” project, Ruslan D. Israilov spoke about the work aimed at preserving interethnic harmony, which is carried out by the city Maslikhat, as well as by him personally during the educational process at school.

Representatives of the House of Friendship, a center for public harmony in East Kazakhstan, also took part in the event. Among them: Vladislav A. Artamonov – activist of the cultural Cossack center and deputy director of the choreographic ensemble “Vainakh”, Lidiya G. Root – activist of the German cultural center, director of the vocal ensemble “Maiglekchen”, Galina A. Borisovich – chairman of the Belarusian cultural center.

Social partners of the university from the East Kazakhstan Police Department took part in the dialogue platform. Police Lieutenant Colonel Tatyana V. Karpova spoke about the work aimed at strengthening interethnic unity carried out by the East Kazakhstan Police Department.

Among the guests of the event was musician Batyr Mukanov. He told how, through his creativity, he contributes to strengthening interethnic unity in Kazakhstan. KAFU graduate Ildar Gabdullin spoke about the culture of the Tatar people.

It is especially worth noting the participation in the dialogue platform of young guests – students of the Higher College of KAFU majoring in «Law» Tomiris Rakhmetova, Arthur Geringer, Melek Tutuman and Roman Kasenov. The students talked about the traditions of the Kazakh, German, Turkish and Russian peoples.
