From Procrastination to Productivity

On October 8, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University hosted a discussion titled “The Dangers of Procrastination and Ways to Combat It” as part of the “Adal Azamat” program. The event was led by Dmitry A. Lozhnikov, a lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages.

Students discussed the nature of procrastination, its root causes, and its negative impact on personal efficiency, academic performance, and psychological well-being. Particular attention was paid to effective time-management techniques, strategies for overcoming perfectionism, and practical steps for cultivating productive habits.

Participants actively shared personal experiences, examined common scenarios involving procrastination, and analyzed the links between emotional burnout, the fear of failure, and the tendency to put things off.

Through an open dialogue, students proposed their own strategies for time planning and self-organization. The event helped participants recognize the importance of productive time allocation and learn how to overcome the habit of delaying important tasks.
