KAFU and the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On May 28, 2026, the Kazakhstan-American Free University (KAFU) hosted a ceremony for the signing of a memorandum of mutual cooperation between KAFU and the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in East Kazakhstan Region.

The event was attended by Yerzhan Medetkhanovich Aikymbekov, Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in East Kazakhstan Region; Zhanna Kaparovna Kusainova, Acting Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Agency in East Kazakhstan Region; KAFU First Vice President Zhasulan Yerbolovich Baikenov; Vice President for Youth Policy Natalia Pavlovna Urazova; Vice President for Academic Affairs Gulnara Zheksembayevna Sarsembayeva; and Head of the Department of Law Kairat Oralkhanovich Alembayev. Heads of departments, faculty deans, and university lecturers also took part in the ceremony.

The signing of the memorandum marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between the university and the government agency. The document is aimed at developing joint initiatives in the training of young professionals, promoting legal awareness, preventing corruption, enhancing professional competencies, and encouraging youth participation in public administration processes.

As part of the cooperation, the parties plan to implement educational and awareness-raising projects, organize meetings, lectures, roundtable discussions, seminars, and other activities focused on developing the region’s human capital and fostering civic responsibility among young people.

KAFU continues to actively strengthen cooperation with government institutions, creating opportunities for students’ professional growth, practical training, and participation in socially significant initiatives.
