KAFU Faculty Participate in the “Orhun” Academic Mobility Program at UNEC

From October 10 to 17, 2026, Ilona V. Bordiyanu, a Professor and PhD in the Department of Business at the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU), and Yuliya V. Trofimova, a senior lecturer and researcher in the same department, participated in the “Orhun” Exchange Programme at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC, Baku).

The “Orhun” program is implemented by the Organization of Turkic States and aims to foster academic exchange among universities in member countries—Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. It provides faculty and students with the opportunity to work at partner universities, gain insight into their academic practices, and develop joint research projects.

During their visit, the KAFU faculty members conducted classes for UNEC students, explored the organization of the educational process and research activities at the host institution, and discussed future collaboration prospects with their colleagues.

As a result of the program, specific areas for ongoing cooperation between the KAFU Department of Business and UNEC have been identified.

Participation in the “Orhun” program marks another step toward strengthening KAFU’s international ties and expanding academic mobility opportunities for the university’s faculty and students.
