KAFU Scientists Win Grant to Study the Gender Aspects of the Economic and Demographic Development of Kazakhstan

We are pleased to announce that the research group of the Kazakh-American Free University, led by Ph.D. Aizhan A. Mukhamadiyeva. This study is a significant contribution to the field of gender studies and will help in the development of policies and strategies to achieve gender equality and sustainable development in our country.

Within the framework of this three-year project, the research group, together with the Doctor of Economics, Professor of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Head of the Department of Population Irina E. Kalabikhina, will analyze the gender aspect of the economic and demographic development of Kazakhstan.

As a result of the project, scientific publications are planned in peer-reviewed Scopus scientific journals, as well as articles in journals recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, a special training course will be developed. Research findings will be presented at international scientific and practical conferences, forums, and seminars held by KAFU.

The main results of the study and practical recommendations will be used in the educational process in the preparation of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics, as well as in short-term advanced training courses for civil servants involved in the development and implementation of demographic policy and the achievement of gender equality, as well as in the development and implementation of regional plans.
