Leadership Academy 2023 – results of the first week

The first week of the 2023 Summer Leadership Academy is coming to an end. At the beginning of the week Academy participants met with representatives of non-profit organizations that work with children with disabilities and their parents. Also, the students visited the East Kazakhstan Regional Library named after A.S. Pushkin, where they learned about American Corner’s volunteer activities.

On Thursday, participants had a unique opportunity to attend a seminar on media literacy by Professor Douglas Hartman, Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, USA.

The Academy was also visited by the President of KASU – Yerezhep Alkhairovich Mambetkaziev. Yerezhep Alkhairovich told about the establishment of the university, the open door policy, and presented his book to several participants.
