Participation of American speakers in the KAFU LEADERS project

During April 2023, American colleagues, teachers Ronald Wylie, Janine Wylie and Daniel Ballast took part as speakers in the project “Developing school-based mediation teams as a way of preventing conflicts and forming a tolerant behavioral culture.” More than one hundred and fifty trainees – students and teachers of schools in the East Kazakhstan region were acquainted with the experience of preventing and resolving conflicts in American schools.

Ronald Wiley PhD, Professor and Jeanine Wiley shared the technique of “circle dialogue” as a restorative practice of conflict prevention and resolution.

KAFU Vice President Daniel Ballast reviewed the basics of managing emotional intelligence and emphasized the importance of this skill in conflict resolution.

The project participants expressed their gratitude to the speakers and offered to continue developing mediation skills after the end of the project.
