Professor Khanlar Ganiev gave lectures and shared his professional experience at KAFU as part of the ORHUN exchange program

The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzMİU) is one of the country’s leading higher education and research institutions, specializing in the training of highly qualified professionals in the fields of architecture, construction, engineering, and related disciplines.

The core mission of AzMİU is to prepare highly skilled specialists who possess deep academic knowledge, independent thinking, a creative approach, and competitive professional skills. The university is guided by the principles of academic excellence, integrity, transparency, social responsibility, respect for national and cultural values, and a commitment to modern development.

The university’s Internship and Career Center plays a vital role in developing students’ practical knowledge and skills. The Center coordinates internships, strengthens cooperation with employers, and facilitates the employment of graduates. Its activities contribute to the professional development of students, preparing them to meet the demands of the labor market and fostering stronger links between higher education and the professional sphere.

In October 2026, the head of the AzMİU Internship and Career Center, Professor Khanlar I. Ganiyev (PhD in Economics), visited the Kazakhstan-American Free University (KAFU) in Kazakhstan as part of the ORHUN exchange program. During his visit, Professor Ganiyev delivered lectures at the KAFU Department of Management and met with representatives from various university departments.

On October 13, 2026, a working meeting was held, attended by KAFU leadership, heads of structural units, directors of centers and colleges, and department chairs. During the meeting, AzMİU’s experience in organizing student internships, supporting graduate employment, building relationships with employers, and developing practice-oriented education was presented. Representatives of KAFU, for their part, spoke about the approaches used at the university for the professional training of students and about cooperation with partner organizations.

The discussion provided representatives from the two universities with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and professional experience, examine approaches to enhancing the educational process and strengthening students’ professional training, and deliberate on the organization and development of career services. Of particular value was the chance to compare the existing practices of both institutions, share effective methodologies, and identify new prospects for future collaboration.

The visit, which took place under the ORHUN exchange program, served as a significant opportunity for Professor Khanlar Ganiyev to share his academic and professional expertise, and it further fostered the mutual exchange of knowledge between the relevant departments of AzMİU and KAFU.
