Spirit Woven from Poetry: Masters of Literary Writing Determined
On April 23, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University held a literary recitation competition among college students from the East Kazakhstan region. The event was dedicated to the work of Zhanat Aimukhambet , Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, renowned poet, and literary scholar.
The main goal of the competition was to increase youth interest in Kazakh poetry, foster a culture of literary recitation, and identify talented students. Participants recited the poet’s works expressively, demonstrating dramatic skill, purity of speech, and artistic taste.
The competition consisted of two stages:
– Artistic Recitation;
– Intellectual Stage.
Based on the results of the two rounds, the winners were:
1st Place – Arna Aidynova, student of the Higher College of the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. Award: KAFU Presidential Grant.
2nd place – Aisulu Altanbagna, student of the Higher College of the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. Award: 50% discount on tuition at KAFU.
3rd place – Tomiris Orazaeva, student of the Higher College of KAFU. Award: 30% discount on tuition at KAFU.
Such spiritual and educational events foster respect for national values in the younger generation and strengthen their love of literature.
