Visit of the US Embassy Delegation

On June 4, 2026, a delegation from the United States Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Kazakh-American Free University.

The delegation included:

Colin Guard, Cultural Attaché of the US Embassy;

Zarina Karimova, American Corners Program Coordinator.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with KAFU President and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerezhep A. Mambetkaziyev. During the meeting, issues of international cooperation, the development of educational initiatives, and youth programs were discussed.

Representatives of the US Embassy also attended the Summer Leadership Academy, which brought together students and participants from various countries. The guests learned about the academy’s work, interacted with program participants, and noted the importance of developing international youth interaction, leadership competencies, and the volunteer movement.

One of the significant results of the program’s implementation was the creation of the Volunteer Association at KAFU—an initiative aimed at developing student activism and youth social responsibility.
